in Firefox : download the add-on (plugin) "download helper" here and install. Restart Firefox to activate the add-on. If there is a flashmovie on a webpage, you should see 3 coloured balls moving. If you can't play the movie, you might need to install Adobe Flash Player-Extension first. Then click on the arrow beside the balls and all the .flv-files you can download show up. Choose destination : done.
If one wants to watch that movie outside the browser also : one either needs a FLV-Player like Wimpy or one needs to convert it to .avi for example.
But one can also use Free FLV Converter because it downloads and converts in a batch. After it is installed on the PC one searchs within the software (while connected through the internet) and it searchs various webpages at once. Download it as .flv and it converts to .avi. You can also convert flashmovies you've already have on your PC or when you went to the webpage first, you can put the url in. Don't forget : whatever you wanna do with it, keep an eye on possible copyrights.
